Press Note: 19-03-2018: Telangana State Council of Higher Education

The Telangana State Council of Higher Education convened a meeting with regard to Degree Online Services of Telangana (DOST) 2018-19 on 19.03.2018 with Smt. Ranjeev R. Acharya, IAS, Special Chief Secretary to Government, Education Department, Govt. of Telangana, Sri. Naveen Mittal, IAS, Commissioner of Collegiate Education & SPD, RUSA, Vice-Chancellors of Six Conventional Universities, Registrars and other important people involved in the admissions of DOST.

Smt. Ranjeev R. Acharya, IAS, Special Chief Secretary to Government briefed about the problems faced by the Government with regard to admissions and requested the ViceChancellors and the admission team to look into the issues and solve them. As the notification date will be in May 2018. She requested to upload the data of the colleges by April 2018.

Sri. Naveen Mittal, IAS, Commissioner of Collegiate Education took keen interest in the process and has recommended certain steps to improve the process of admission.

Prof. T. Papi Reddy, Chairman and Prof. R. Limbadri and Prof. V. Venkata Ramana, Vice-Chairmen of Telangana State Council of Higher Education have proposed certain simplified procedures and a common pattern of Admission Schedule, DOST 2018-19, and Academic Calendar in the pattern of CBCS.

Smt. Ranjeev R. Acharya, IAS, Special Chief Secretary to Government and Prof. T. Papi Reddy, Chairman, TSCHE released ‘Instructions to the students’ giving a direction to the students for Degree online admissions, DOST 2018-19. These instructions will be circulated to all students.
