The Grand finale of the Start up India Telangana Yatra was held on 04.10.2018 at JNTU, Hyderabad Campus.

Grand finale of the Start up India Telangana Yatra was held today i.e on 04.10.2018 at JNTU, Hyderabad Campus. The Yatra was inaugurated by Hon'ble Minister of IT Shri K.T.Rama Rao on September 15 at Hyderabad. The yatra has been jointly organised under the aegis of Invest India, Govt.of India and Telangana State Innovation Cell in association with Telangana State Council of Higher education ( TSCHE). Prof.T.Papi Reddy , Chairman,TSCHE underlined the need for inculcating the culture and of innovation right from schooling so that the students of tomorrow become job creators and generate more job opportunities.
Shri Navin Mittal, IAS, CCE & CTE emphasised the need to restructure, redesign and reorient the curriculum to suit the changing needs of industry and society.

3.Prof.R.Limbadri, Vice Chairman, TSCHE &
4.Shri Pradip Mittal, Board Member TiE and leading angel investor and venture capitalist.
The Yatra which has travelled to twelve (12) District locations and organised eleven (11) Boot Camps and identified Two Hundred and One (201) Innovators. The Grand Finale recognised the 20 top Innovators and the top 10 Award winners were presented cheques for Rs.50000 and the rest 10 awardees were presented cheques of Rs.25000 each.
Speaking on the occassion Prof. V Venkata Ramana, Vice Chairman, TSCHE who has coordinàted the Yatra along with TSIC explained the various path breaking initiatives being undertaken by TSCHE.. Prof. Venkata Ramana, outlined the concept of "experiential learning" wherein students may be allowed to take a brief sabbatical from their studies like in many top institutions and try out their entrepreneurial dreams and aspirations. He also thanked the Hon'ble Minister for IT Shri K.T.Rama Rao for having encouraged the ecosystem in Hyderabad and hoped that Telangana would be amongst the top 3 startup destination in the country by 2020. Nearly 300 Young Innovators were given an opportunity to showcase their innovations on the occasion.
