MoU between TSCHE and Times Higher Education
TSCHE in association with Times Higher Education (THE) organised a DATA MASTER CLASS to around 30 Senior Academic Administrators and IQAC Co-ordinators of Universities in Telangana and signed an MOU with Times Higher Education (THE) on Friday, March 15th 2019 . The programme was inaugurated by Dr. B Janardhan Reddy, IAS Secretary to Government, Higher Education Department, Govt., of Telangana and presided by Prof. T Papi Reddy, Chairman, TSCHE. The Data Master class was presented by Mr. Ritin Malhotra and Ms. Sophia Li from Times Higher Education (THE) and was co-ordinated by Prof. V Venkata Ramana, Vice Chairman, TSCHE.
Speaking on the occasion Prof. T Papi Reddy emphasised on the need for Universities to workout approaches and strategies to feature in International Rankings which would not onlyu help them in obtaining better funding but also more International Students, Faculty and grants from various Agencies.
Prof.V.Venkata ramana provided a broad overview of the different parameters to looked into by the ranking agencies like TIMES and thereby gave a presentation of the different areas which need focus and concentrated efforts to improve the ranking. Some of the issues which were hampering the ranking of Indian Universities were identified by the participants in the brainstorming session and a detailed discussion was taken up to prepare Universities in Telangana to compete in the international ranking process

Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy appreciated the efforts of TSCHE in bringing the International agencies to work with the Higher educational sector in Telangana. He also urged the senior administrators to conduct University level workshops to sensitise other faculty to take up cutting edge research and strive to include innovations in the teaching- learning processes. He assured the participants that all support in pursue research and improved funding to participate more regularly in International Seminars and Conferences. He also advised the Universities to take up consultancy activities to augment the resources and also to strengthen the infrastructure of the University.
The session ended with signing of MOU between TSCHE & THE in the presence of Secretary - Education and Dr. N.Srinivasa Rao, Secretary, TSCHE.
